The Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's basketball team, or UTRGV Vaqueros, represents the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Western Athletic Conference. They play their home games at the UTRGV Fieldhouse. The team's current identity was established after the University of Texas at Brownsville and the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA) were merged in 2015. The UTPA athletic program, nicknamed "Broncs", was directly converted to that of UTRGV, with UTPA's WAC membership and athletic history transferring to the new institution.

UTRGV Fieldhouse
UTRGV Fieldhouse (formerly UTPA Fieldhouse until the 2015 merger that created UTRGV) is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas. It was built in 1969 for one of UTRGV's predecessor institutions, Pan American University, which later became the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA), and is home to the UTRGV Vaqueros men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the Vaqueros women's volleyball team. The Fieldhouse is also used extensively by the Department of Health and Kinesiology.
