St Helens Rugby Football Club, nicknamed Saints, are a professional rugby league club from St Helens in North West England who play in the Super League and were a founder member of the Northern Rugby Football Union. They have been league champions on 13 occasions and runners up 12 times and are the third most successful side in the Challenge Cup with 12 wins from 21 final appearances placing them behind rivals Wigan., who have won 19 finals from 30 appearances, and Leeds, who have won the cup on 13 occasions, having lost 12 finals. They are the current Super League champions. Since 1961 the club's home colours have been white, with a red "V" on the shirt. Saints play their home games at Langtree Park in St Helens, having moved from their previous home, Knowsley Road, in 2012.
Home Venue

Langtree Park is a rugby league stadium in the Peasley Cross area of St Helens, Merseyside. It has a capacity of over 18,000. It is the home ground of St Helens RFC. The stadium was granted full planning permission on 20 May 2008. On 11 July 2008 the go-ahead was given without the need for a public enquiry and construction started in 2010. It was announced on 15 November 2011 that primary developers, the Langtree Group, had gained the naming rights and that the stadium would be named Langtree Park. The first rugby league match to be played at the stadium was between St. Helens and Widnes on Friday 20 January 2012. St. Helens won the opening game by 42-24 and they moved in ready for the 2012 Super League season.
