The Russia women's national handball team is the national team of Russia. It is governed by the Handball Union of Russia and takes part in international handball competitions. They are as of January 2011, the only handball team on the women's and men's side in the world, to have won the World Championship three consecutive times. Team Russia won their first gold at the 2016 Olympics, defeating France in the final.
