The NXT Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, defended on their NXT brand. It is one of the top singles championships for women among WWE's three main brands, along with the WWE Raw Women's Championship on Raw and the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship on SmackDown. The current champion is Rhea Ripley, who is in her first reign. Introduced on April 5, 2013, the title was established as the women's championship for NXT, which at the time was a developmental territory for WWE. The inaugural champion was Paige. Over the years, NXT grew to become WWE's third major brand, which became official in September 2019 when NXT was moved to the USA Network.
