About
Naegohyang Women's Football Club (Korean: λ΄κ³ ν₯ μ¬μμΆκ΅¬λ¨) is a North Korean women's football club team based in Naegohyang. The team was founded in 2012 and competes in the DPR Korea Women's Premier League, the top division of women's football in North Korea. Naegohyang was founded in 2012 and won its first championship in the 2021β22 season, ten years after its establishment. The team won its second title in the 2023β24 season, which qualified them for the inaugural 2024β25 AFC Women's Champions League as direct entrants to the group stage; however, the club withdrew before the draw. In the following edition, the club returned to the competition and became the first North Korean team to participate in an Asian Football Confederation tournament, entering the preliminary round of the 2025β26 AFC Women's Champions League. Their first international appearance resulted in an 11β0 victory over Laos's Master FC. The team is currently coached by Ri Yu-il, who has also coached the North Korea women's national football team.
