Barni Racing is a motorcycle team based in Italy founded in 1996 under the name of Team Spring . At the time of birth, the team's owners were Marco Barnabò (still a team manager) and the driver Matteo Colombo. Over the years the team has been mainly engaged in national competitions such as the CIV or the Italian Sport Production and in Ducati single-brand trophies. Always linked to the bikes of the house of Borgo Panigale , the team has used for some seasons also Honda and Suzuki motorcycles. In the two-year period 1996/97 the team participated as a wild card in some European Supersport championships In 2015 the team makes its debut as a team leader in the World Superbike Championship , deploying only one Ducati Panigale R entrusted to the Argentine, already champion of the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup : Leandro Mercado .
